Cancellation Policy

What You Pay Online

When you book a ground on CricBook, you pay a small token amount online to hold your slot. The remaining ground fee is paid directly at the ground on the day of play.

Customer Cancellations

You can cancel your booking yourself only while it is in Pending status โ€” i.e. before the ground owner confirms it. A full token refund is issued provided the ground's cancellation window has not expired.

Once your booking is Confirmed, only the Ground Owner or CricBook admin can cancel it. Ground Owners have the right to cancel confirmed bookings at any time at their discretion. Contact the ground directly if you need assistance after confirmation.

The cancellation window for a specific ground is shown on the ground detail page and in your booking summary before you pay.

Refunds are processed within 5โ€“7 business days back to the original payment method.

Auto-Cancellation by System

Bookings that are not confirmed by the ground owner within the required window are automatically cancelled by the system.

In this case, the full amount paid online (including the platform fee) is refunded to you automatically. Refund arrives within 5โ€“7 business days.

Cancellation by Ground Owner

Ground Owners have full rights to cancel any booking โ€” Pending or Confirmed โ€” at any time, for any reason, at their sole discretion. CricBook does not restrict or require justification for such cancellations.

If a Ground Owner cancels your confirmed booking, you will receive a full refund of the booking token paid online. You will be notified immediately via WhatsApp.

Refund of the ground slot fee (paid directly to the ground) is the sole responsibility of the Ground Owner and must be settled between you and the Ground Owner directly.

Grievances & Disputes

CricBook is a booking facilitation platform only. We do not manage, operate, or supervise cricket grounds listed on the Platform.

Any grievance related to a booking โ€” including cancellations, denial of entry, service quality, or on-ground conduct โ€” must be resolved directly between the Customer and the Ground Owner. CricBook has no role in mediating or adjudicating such disputes.

Ground Owner contact details (support phone) are available on the ground detail page. CricBook support is available only for platform-level issues: payment failures, refund delays, or app technical problems.

No-Show & Expired Window

If you do not show up, or the cancellation window has already passed at the time you request a cancellation, no refund is issued for the booking token. The ground slot will be released.

For grounds with a non-refundable (0h) policy, customer cancellations are not permitted regardless of timing.

How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, open the app and go to Bookings โ†’ Your Booking โ†’ Cancel Booking. You can cancel any PENDING or CONFIRMED booking as long as you are within the allowed window.
