Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CricBook ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users including customers, ground owners, and visitors.

2. The Service

CricBook is a technology platform that connects cricket players ("Customers") with cricket ground owners ("Ground Owners") to facilitate slot bookings. CricBook acts as a booking facilitation platform only — we are not a party to the rental agreement between a Customer and a Ground Owner. CricBook is not responsible for the condition, availability, safety, or management of any ground. All operational decisions regarding ground access, bookings, and on-ground conduct rest entirely with the respective Ground Owner.

CricBook does not act as a mediator or arbitrator in any dispute between a Customer and a Ground Owner. Any grievance, complaint, or dispute arising from a booking — including but not limited to cancellations, refusals of entry, or service quality — must be resolved directly between the Customer and the Ground Owner.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. Providing false information may result in account suspension or termination.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and OTPs. Never share your OTP with anyone, including CricBook support.
  • Users under 13 must have parental consent to create an account.
  • Each person may maintain only one customer account. Ground owners may register separately with a ground owner account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Bookings

  • A booking is Pending until the ground owner confirms it. CricBook does not guarantee confirmation of any booking request.
  • If a Pending booking is not confirmed within 24 hours, it is automatically cancelled and your convenience fee is refunded.
  • Once Confirmed, a booking constitutes an agreement between you and the Ground Owner, subject to the Ground Owner's own ground rules and regulations.
  • Bookings are non-transferable. You may not book a slot on behalf of another person or resell bookings.
  • Repeated no-shows or abuse of the booking system may result in account suspension.

5. Payments & Convenience Fee

CricBook charges a convenience fee per booking, collected online via Razorpay at the time of booking. The current fee is ₹100 during the launch promotional period (first 500 bookings platform-wide) and ₹150 thereafter. The applicable fee is always shown clearly before you confirm.

  • The convenience fee covers platform access and booking management. It is separate from the ground's slot rental fee, which is paid directly to the Ground Owner.
  • All payments are processed by Razorpay. CricBook does not store your card or UPI details.
  • CricBook reserves the right to modify the convenience fee with reasonable advance notice.
  • The launch promotional fee (₹100) may be ended or modified at any time at CricBook's discretion.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Each ground sets its own cancellation window (0, 24, 36, or 48 hours before the slot). This is displayed on the ground page and your booking summary before you confirm.
  • If you cancel within the allowed window, your convenience fee is refunded to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • Cancellations made after the deadline are not eligible for a refund of the convenience fee.
  • If a Ground Owner or CricBook cancels a confirmed booking, you are entitled to a full refund of the convenience fee within 5–7 business days.
  • Refunds for the slot rental fee (paid to the Ground Owner) are subject to the Ground Owner's own policy and must be resolved directly with the owner.

7. Ground Owners

By listing a ground on CricBook, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your ground — location, amenities, pricing, shifts, and availability.
  • Respond to booking requests promptly. Pending bookings are auto-cancelled after 24 hours.
  • Not discriminate against any customer on the basis of religion, caste, gender, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Ensure your ground is safe and accessible for booked sessions.

Ground Owner Rights

  • Ground Owners retain full operational authority over their ground at all times. This includes the right to cancel any booking — Pending or Confirmed — at any time, for any reason, at their sole discretion.
  • Ground Owners set and enforce their own rules, conduct policies, and entry conditions. Customers are expected to comply with the Ground Owner's requirements on-site.
  • All grievances related to a booking — including cancellations by the Ground Owner, denial of entry, service quality, or on-ground conduct — are to be resolved directly between the Customer and the Ground Owner. CricBook has no role in mediating, adjudicating, or resolving such disputes.
  • CricBook's sole responsibility in the event of a Ground Owner cancellation is to refund the convenience fee paid to CricBook. Refunds of the ground slot fee (paid directly at the ground) are entirely the responsibility of the Ground Owner.

8. Find Opponent Feature

The "Find Opponent" feature allows booking customers to signal they are looking for an opposing team. CricBook facilitates the connection only. We are not responsible for the conduct, safety, or reliability of any team that applies as an opponent. Any arrangement between two teams is their own responsibility.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Platform without written permission.
  • Post false, misleading, abusive, or defamatory content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or database.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform or its infrastructure.
  • Manipulate prices, reviews, or booking counts on the Platform.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including the CricBook name, logo, design, code, and copy — is owned by or licensed to CricBook and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
  • Any ground listing is accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • A confirmed booking will be honoured by the Ground Owner.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CricBook shall not be liable for:

  • Any injury, loss, or damage occurring at a booked ground.
  • A Ground Owner's failure to honour a confirmed booking.
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform.
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the convenience fee you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.

13. Grievances & Dispute Resolution

CricBook is a booking facilitation platform. We do not manage, operate, or supervise any cricket ground listed on the Platform. Accordingly:

  • Any dispute, complaint, or grievance arising from a booking — including quality of the ground, refusal of entry, cancellations by the Ground Owner, or on-ground conduct — is a matter exclusively between the Customer and the Ground Owner. CricBook will not intervene, mediate, or take sides in such disputes.
  • Customers are advised to read the ground's rules and policies before booking and to contact the Ground Owner directly (via the support phone number listed on the ground page) for any ground-level issues.
  • CricBook may, at its discretion, remove a ground from the Platform if a Ground Owner is found to have engaged in a pattern of fraudulent behaviour. However, CricBook is under no obligation to investigate individual disputes or take enforcement action on behalf of any Customer.
  • CricBook support is available only for platform-level issues such as payment failures, refund processing delays, or technical problems with the app.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. We encourage you to contact us first on WhatsApp +91 73760 10070 — most issues can be resolved quickly without legal proceedings.

15. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the app and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
